A little bit about me...
I am a 36 year old traditional Artist based in Heathfield, East Sussex. My passion is drawing, and designing , and has been since I was old enough to hold a pencil. My background is working in Theatre set design and TV after graduating from DeMontfort University in Leicester with a degree in Illustration. Growing up I always loved films, and have been drawing scenes from films for years as a hobby. In 2017 I was lucky enough to turn a hobby into a business selling my own art, and I have sold over 100 original pieces to customers worldwide since then. For me it's important to get the colours, and details just right , which I feel makes the art come alive. The best part for me about doing this is bringing joy to people. Many have said it's fantastic to own an original one -off piece , and it's a feeling that a print can never give. As the title says at the top I do not sell prints of my work , and never will as I feel it's a more unique experience for the customer to own an original piece. For the reasons stated I do feel my valuation of my artwork is fair. I'm Just going to explain how I work when it comes to commissions and requests. I will normally request a deposit payment before I start a commission for a customer via paypal, or by standard bank transfer. I will then email progress photos to the customer until completion of the artwork. Artwork usually takes about a week to two weeks to complete. I attach a mount board frame to all of my work, because I think it looks more professional when it arrives. All work is signed, dated , and sprayed with fixative spray (so it doesn't smudge). Once the customer is happy with the final outcome I will send a request for the remaining balance. The artwork will be placed in a clear cellophane bag, and posted in secure cardboard packaging. I do post worldwide, and have customers from all over the world. If I post internationally I will post it international tracked and signed for, and if I'm posting within the UK it will be by special delivery. I sell pieces in my online shop now and again too on this website , so keep an eye out for those. If you want to make a request , or you just have a general question then please don't hesitate to contact me via the contact page. You can also contact me through my Facebook art page www.facebook.com/emmaroulstoneart. I will reply as soon as I can. Thank you for taking the time to look at my website.
